The BC-series is
an ideal DC power supply and backup source for DC loads such as
microwave repeaters, small cell sites, RTU and SCADA. This fully
integrated, weatherproof unit converts AC primary power to 12 or 24 VDC
in order to float charge a sealed battery bank while powering the DC
load. Upon loss of AC primary power, the battery powers the DC load(s)
with “zero transfer time” because the loads are connected to the battery
bank 100% of the time. Various battery sizes are available for increased
backup power capability. The unit is comprised of a switch mode
rectifier with 3-stage charging, maintenance-free deep-cycle batteries,
AC and DC circuit protection, user’s manual, and full wiring schematics
for quick installation.
The weatherproof white
powder-coated aluminum enclosure includes passive filtered venting, a
universal key lock, and tamper-proof hardware suitable for pole, wall or
optional tower mounting. Larger models include temperature compensated
charging to increase battery lifetime. The circuit is fully protected
via breakers and fuses on the AC input, connection to the batteries, and
DC loads. For installations that require UL-listing, the BC20AT24UL
includes a UL-listed charger with precision voltage regulation, 2-stage
charging, temperature compensation, and a panel mounted ammeter and
voltmeter. One-year warranty.
