Welcome to the Native American Tribal Solar Electric site on the
Solaris web.
This area has been written to provide the Nations with a single source website
from which to draw the knowledge and information necessary to make an informed
decision to either purchase and install or not purchase solar electric power
generating equipment. We hope the information you find here will assist
you in such a choice. We understand that such a choice is difficult, given
the history of solar power. We trust, however, that you will find
everything necessary to make an informed decision. To get started, click
on the dream catcher for some basics on Tribal solar power array installations.

Lets Talk About Energy Cooperatives
Energy cooperatives are authorized by California state law and
some modifications that have
been
made to the California Energy Bill (click the dream catcher to read about them.)
Not only that, but each tribe and nation is sovereign and subject to some
federal jurisdiction, but little state jurisdiction. This means that all
the messy applications to the state of California PUC can be largely ignored.
The most cost effective and most environmentally responsible way to create your
own energy cooperative is to build a large solar array and harvest cheap, clean,
power directly from the largest fusion reactor in our solar system.
In most cases, a large solar array can supply all of a tribe's
power needs for many years. Constructed properly, a modular solar array
may be added to and expanded to meet anticipated growth. By applying all
of the rebates and available grants to the cost of installation, payback on a
solar array can be as short as 2.5 years; an attractive investment
indeed!
Considering the fact that solar equip typically lasts for 30 years with proper
care, and the financial benefit is considerable. Compare The benefits by
clicking on the wigwam icon.

Mostly Free
Paying for a solar electric installation can be as simple as
applying for all available rebates and grants. In addition, there are more
than 300 lending institutions who are willing to lend money up front to finance
the entire installation, and then refinance the residual after all grants and rebates have
been applied.
Your tribal community can benefit from solar electricity.
Its clean, its earth friendly, and its abundant.
